“Green” Practices

Court One has long taken pride in recycling our waste materials and tailoring our work processes to reduce our impact on the environment:

  • Recycle steel drums, wood pallets, and cardboard packaging materials, as well as old fencing, lighting materials, and metal components of old court accessories.
  • Repurpose old but intact tennis nets.
  • Reuse procedure for rinse water in the mixing of acrylic coatings.
  • For over 10 years, we have been recycling old asphalt in place as additional stone base for courts and running tracks.
  • Ensure that our trucks and equipment are in good running condition in order to reduce the amount of air pollution that we emit.

In addition, we have been using the Laykold system of surface coatings from Advanced Polymer Technology (APT) for over 23 years.  APT is ISO 14001 certified for environmental management, and qualifies for LEED Credits in the following areas:

  • Regional Material  (depending on the mileage to the project site)
  • Solar Reflective Index on a number of the surface colors
  • Rapidly Renewable Materials (the Masters system even incorporates recycled tennis balls)
  • Low Emitting Materials

We are proud to provide you with the highest quality of workmanship and materials, but know that this is done with an eye to reducing our impact on the world that we live in!
